I have a unique background that allows me to provide you with a holistic model of care that is both compassionate and evidence-based. For over 25 years I worked as an early childhood and infant mental health specialist. I recognized how many families struggle with postpartum adjustment, breastfeeding, and the way those struggles were related. In 2009 I becan training and working intensely with new mothers as a perinatal mental health specialist. I also became a certified lactation counselor.
I love babies, and I was immediately hooked to a shift in my career. Working with breastfeeding dyads and supporting new mothers as they navigate "matrescence" has been, by far, the most rewarding experience of my life. Seeing new mothers and their infants flourish together is my passion. I have provided care for mothers and babies in many environments - a midwifery and pediatric office, community mental health, a hospital lactation clinic, community based support groups, Public Health, and privately.
"I was so happy to see you the other day! You made my journey feel so uncomplicated. I had so many emotional troubles and each time we met you never broke your belief in me. I can never thank you enough for your courage towards me and the belief I could give my son everything with my own body. We are so blessed to have you be a part of our lives and I will always be here to lend advice to who can give a new or moms again a new lactation specialist that can give them all the steps to make them successful with breastfeeding and if not help them understand they are still amazing! You are truly a blessing to all Moms! Thank you for all you give!"
